Is education out of your reach?

After researching other positions, you realize that you need further education to transition to a new career. Going back to school can be daunting for someone who has a family, a full-time job, and/or limited resources. You may be looking at these qualifications and time commitments and wondering if it is just beyond your reach to aspire to more education. It never is too late to get more education. The impact on finances in statistics show that further education pays off in higher wages and better employment prospects. What may be holding you back is not a lack of income or time, it may be your views on education.
There are many more older people returning to school to update their skills. Even people who are elderly sometimes show up in continuing education classes or to get another degree. Education doesn't just provide you with the means to get into to new career ventures, it also opens doors in networking, and provides a higher balance of life satisfaction through lifelong learning. If you think education might be out of your reach, look at your own mindset first to determine the mental obstacles towards seeking out more education.
